AJ v Usyk
|
Predictions?
I like Joshua and hope he wins - I think he can win if he uses his physical attributes properly, but he’s too caught up in his head and doesn’t have the natural fitness to beat a lighter man.
I think Usyk will stop him this time, around the 9th or 10th. But I’d love to be wrong. Depends on if Garcia has managed to make any changes so quickly, but prob Joshua should have taken a couple of warm ups before this. But either way, what a fight we should have!

I suspect many people only want Joshua to win so they can get to see Fury knock his block off.
There's something about Joshua that is strangely unlikeable. Not dislikeable, I don't think anyone dislikes him much. Just not likeable.

Why bother asking?
Aj-aj-aj is clearly the successor to ag-ag-ag, beats Usyk hands down.
Although why we need a successor to ag-ag-ag puzzles me.

AJ is a stunning human specimen, who can dig, but is a limited boxer at elite level The moment he took a dig back he changed, he tried to convert to boxing rather than fighting, traded his leading attribute for his weakness He has scrambled his own mind
No mistake, he is game and will need to be and I don't buy the chinny rap, if an elite HW clumps you going forward it will hurt
Usyk can box and has power through power punches landed, he beat AJ early in the first fight by getting an early dig and taking AJ's best shot, he took his mind off fighting and to boxing 'safe' - he fought the war 'on a field of his choosing'
To win AJ obviously has to take it to Usyk, and keep taking it to him by imposing power and superior early fight strength
Its not going to an AJ points win, get him out in six or its Usyk

After the last fight, I can’t see how Joshua wins. Usyk is tough and a much better boxer. I think Joshua has to knock him out but I can’t see that happening. I can see Usyk knocking him out though.

Joshua has to fight on the front foot against this bloke, if he doesn't he loses by a mile on points, if he does he gets stopped before round eight. What I fear is bent judges, especially now much money's involved in a future fight with Fury. I hope Usyk knocks him out

The only way I see Usyk losing is if he takes a dive.

If this contest goes the distance then Usyk wins. I agree with Bunce that Joshua needs to take the fight to Usyk to get a victory. It’s a risk for him but for me he has a 40% chance of winning by stoppage.
Don’t care who wins but let’s see a proper. fight and not a plodding twelve rounder.

Usyk will win.
Joshua has always seemed a bit of a fake to me. Absolute style over substance.

No chance Usyk is taking a dive this fight. This is for his countrymen.
It is going to be a great fight either way, been looking forward to this for a while.
My prediction is and Usyk k/o within 8 rounds. Joshua to dominate first few rounds and then tire with Usyk growing into it.

Joshua’s only chance is a stoppage in the early rounds imo.
The longer it goes on will play into Usyks hands who is just simply a much better boxer.

To me the Wladimir Klitschko fight changed Joshua. Up until that point he’d blown away everyone he faced, but in that fight he got hurt and hurt bad. He was close to losing it.
Since then he appears to me to have decided he’s a boxer not a puncher and ends up neither.

Was listening the other day to someone saying Joshua's only chance was to the body as Usyk has been down twice in the past with shots to the body but I can't see it. Always wondered about Joshua after he "gassed" out against Klitschko, even though he won. Interesting though that to beat Ruiz he had to go from puncher to boxer, now his only change seems to go back from boxer to puncher.

Goose Whyte had hurt him before the Klitschko and he'd uncomfy rounds with others , Joshua though even during fights is a pretty good learner. Think usyk maybe too good this time ,we will see.

I kinda lost most of my interest in boxing a long time ago.
I do like boxers to be nails hard though so I can't help but raise a smile for Usyk.
Joshua was in the right place at the right time and has made a lot of money. Good luck to him but as a fighter he is bang average IMHO.

Hopefully Usyk smashes him into retirement.
I look at the odds though and think that Joshua winning by stoppage is the value bet.

Haha!
I hope AJ gets knocked spark out, can then fuck off into retirement and spend his millions in his local black owned businesses and leave the whiteys to carry on ruling the heavyweight division.
